360smile
Brand Design for a Church Benevolence Nonprofit
Stage 1
Discovery
360smile is a nonprofit agency in Athens, GA. It focuses on assisting churches with meeting the benevolence needs of local low-income communities, and aims to establish networks between churches to aid in discipleship efforts.
We began with a discovery session, where the client and I met to discuss the "DNA" of 360smile. This meant understanding its goals, its resources, its audience, and any other details that would help us develop a brand that would work best for their mission and objectives.
Stage 2
Strategy
From this, I created 3 different directions in stylescapes, with them ultimately going with my recommendation of the “Professional Partners” style.
Stage 3
Creation
After landing on a final visual style, I created three primary logo concepts for the team to review, including this one that deviated a bit from the client’s initial request of including a cross.
Stage 4
Launch
Mockups are my favorite way of helping the client see the brand “in action”, and allowing them to envision what they might look and sound like with each identity. In addition, it can be a helpful starting point for other designers who handle the brand in the future. Examples of how the brand was adapted to various formats can clarify and guide future creative projects, even without the original designer being involved.
What did the client think?
“The entire process was seamless, professional, very efficient! I am delighted to report that thanks to Gabe’s excellent work, we have a beautiful logo that clearly and beautifully is reflective of our mission and which will serve us well now and into the future the Lord has planned for us!”
